All hell breaks loose as the storm of the century plows into the Jersey Shore. During the storm, playboy Chaz Danforth offers his insurance company as an evacuation shelter. Situated high on a high, built like a fortress, it should be able to withstand Hurricane Ursa. What will Joe, the widowed father of 13-year-old Stevie do? Stevie struggles with social interaction and anxiety and may fall apart during the worst of the storm, putting their lives in danger.

I didn’t know what to expect when I bought this book. Based on the description, it seemed like a book I would enjoy. And, boy, am I glad I went with my instinct.

Jayne Wesler weaves a story of suspense and drama that includes lessons for all of us. Ride the Storm did not disappoint. In fact, it delivered more than what was promised. The interactions between the characters (a few of whom I personally identified with) created just enough tension to keep me wanting more.
